12 things (6+6); Orientation to Veneer and Ryan Hoercher through the eyes of Ryan Hoercher

Ryan Hoercher

Hey I'm Ryan, I'm a part of the Veneer Organ, that's me and Cher

You're aware of Veneer, after all you're here. Now me on the other hand has some explaining to and I like to explain my shadowy presence. It's really just a matter of proximity. It might be presumptive or arrogant to think this is a meaningful exercise or perhaps many of you don't see me as shadowy at all. Either Way.

Welcome to an Orientation of Veneer and Ryan by Ryan.

Here are some observations on VENEER

1. (a) As far as I can tell Veneer's Mission is to have no audience, but (b) by default Veneer has an audience that (c) appears a bit masochistic.

2. Veneer is no more or less nebulous than a pirated album.

3. Great pains were taking to get it printed RIGHT.

4. Veneer could be the straight guy in the room. After all there are a lot of serif fonts involved.

5. Eventually you'll be influenced by irrational forces.

6. Sheridan's Fresh Fruits occupies a bizarre place in the spectrum of convenience, organics, family business, and wholesaler (Convenience and Groceries mean alot to me, I fancy myself a specialist in this field, and Sheridan's does not have my number one recreational beverage brand, Honest Tea).

Here are some observations on ME

1. I went to art school and law school and I am neither an artist nor a lawyer.

2. I won the lottery of jobs recently.

3. My girlfriend and I have spent more on our cats this fiscal year than on items for ourselves, (Gross Adjusted Expenditure on Ourselves excluding food and rent, but including alcohol, clothing, gas for our car, vacations, and medical care).

4. My parents rule and some butt-heads keep breaking into my dad's small machine shop and shooting off the fire extinguisher.

5. My brother has the most amazing job and living situation (job being amazing in a great/cushy kinda way and living being in a bizarre art house kinda way, but with a little more humor).

6. I am interested in eventually moving to Toronto or Montreal (a) to be closer to my family in Upstate New York, (b) to get in on the hot Ontario/Quebec Music Scene, (c) to get back into the cold weather, (d) to challenge myself to learn another language{maybe}, and (e) to escape.
