Gisle Fosse is recently retired as the Distinguished Researcher in the Institute of Anatomy, University of Bergen, Norway. Among her many publications on the relationship between germs, enamel, and evolution are The Number of Prism Bases on the Inner and Outer Surface of the Enamel Mantle of Human Teeth (1964), Trace elements in human primary teeth from two cities in Chile (1997), and Lead and cadmium in primary teeth from Illinois, USA (1998).
